POSITION:  Under general direction, to manage, plan, supervise and participate in the day-to-day operations, activities and services in the areas of parks division as well as the lighting and landscape districts, landscape maintenance contractor, park building maintenance, downtown landscape district and playground safety program; and to perform related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Any combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position.  A typical qualifying entrance background is completion of the twelfth grade or equivalent with completion of informal training in park maintenance or a closely related field; or working-level experience performing general repair or maintenance work involving heavy manual labor.

Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

SALARY: $15.84/hour, usual schedule is up to 20 hours per week.
